Founded by Angelia, affectionately known as Angie, Stand for Grandparents Inc. stems from a deeply personal journey. Born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, Angie was raised by her grandparents, Samuel and Eula Mae Smith. Her experiences, both as a grandchild and later as a grandmother raising her own grandchildren, inspired her to establish this organization. With a background as a licensed cosmetologist and school bus driver, Angie has always been dedicated to serving her community. Her passion for the elderly and firsthand understanding of the challenges grandparents face led to the creation of Stand for Grandparents Inc., aiming to raise awareness and garner support for grandparents raising grandkids everywhere. Angie was blessed with grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and had the honor of raising some of them with her late husband. Due to her passion for the elderly and raising grandchildren of her own, she founded a non for profit business committed to bringing more awareness and gaining support for grandparents.
